Never Mind the Telephone, Here’s SeamlessWeb in London

Ian

Just three short years ago SeamlessWeb hired an ambitious lad named Ian (right) to help us plant our flag on foreign shores. Armed with little more than the SeamlessWeb sales pitch, a laptop, and mask (snorkel not included), our charming young Londoner and his small band of brothers (and sisters) struck out to introduce the glory of SeamlessWeb to London’s most demanding corporations.

Fast forward to 2009 and Ian’s efforts have been rewarded handsomely…with more than 250 corporate clients and hundreds of local restaurants now using SeamlessWeb-UK, London has become our second biggest market. And with tens of thousands of Londoners comfortable with the concept of ordering meals online, the time has come for us to introduce our personal service so that everyone in London can enjoy the ease and convenience of SeamlessWeb!

Starting today, Londoners can place individual orders on SeamlessWeb with their personal credit cards!

If you live or work in London or know someone who does, all you (or they) need to get started is an address and an appetite. Most of our current restaurant partners (see below for a selection) are in the Canary Wharf, City, and West End areas, so have a go if you work or live in any of those areas and also be sure to let us know which restaurants across London you’d like us to add.

And since we’re feeling generous here’s a fiver off your first order!

£5 Discount Code: NEWLONDON (Expires 30/4)

Cheers!

    Hey Maria,

We don’t have plans to expand there right now, but we are looking into new ways to add restaurants that deliver online, so if you could send any recommendations to restaurantrequests@seamlessweb.com, we’d love to have them.

    Thanks!

Hey, Just wondering if you have ever thought about coming to Canada? Namely, Toronto. I think it would be a big hit!

    Hey Rachel,

Thanks for the comment and the recommendation! We don’t have any plans to expand to Canada right now, but Toronto would definitely be one of the top places on our list and we’ll keep it in mind.

    Best,

    Rich

Dude, Madrid has the worst service in delivering food. You guys should see if it makes sense expanding into this Spanish city. Missing your great service from my days in NY.
