The Order:
I’d been eyeing Supermac on the restaurant list for weeks. But that $20 delivery minimum always kept me away…until today. Having skipped breakfast, I was ravenous and decided that it was time to see what I’d been missing. AnnMarie agreed to indulge me and we ordered a feast of carbo bombs (three different types of mac and cheese: Primavera, Lobster Thermidor, and Traditional) and a salad (Nutty Apple).
The Meal:
The bags were shabby (haven’t they seen the SeamlessWeb bags?), but the presentation of the food was impressive and orderly. Each dish was neatly labeled and packaged, a pretty good idea considering that most mac and cheese dishes look almost exactly the same. Also, we ordered only “Mini Macs” and the portions were fairly large, so I can’t imagine what a “Mega Mac” is like.
I started with the Lobster Thermidor and was fairly impressed. There were some legitimate chunks of lobster and the cheese was well-mixed and flavorful. I couldn’t have specifically told you which cheeses were in it (Brie and Gorgonzola), but I definitely knew that it wasn’t the traditional American and cheddar combo. Speaking of which, Supermac’s Traditional mac and cheese was a fine specimen, although not nearly as yellow and gooey as my old friend Easy Mac.
AnnMarie’s meal was more balanced than my double mac attack. Her salad had great greens and a nice array of toppings, and while her Primavera wasn’t heavy on the vegetables, it definitely satisfied her mac and cheese craving. On the whole, Supermac is great because it offers you an adult version of one of your childhood favorites. And with 15 different mac and cheese options, along with salads and wraps, you can order for a long time and never have the same thing twice. Just don’t forget to order with a friend.

I couldn’t agree with you less! We ordered from there, waited over one hour for our food to arrive, by which time it was a cold, congealed mess. Totally tasteless and a waste of our money. We called to complain and got nowhere, in which case, we will never order from there again.
