How and When Did You Discover SeamlessWeb? I discovered SeamlessWeb in early 2008 when I kept bumping into deliverymen with SeamlessWeb bags. I thought it was some new trendy restaurant, but quickly learned its extraordinary convenience. This past holiday season, I actually convinced my family to forgo our traditional Christmas Eve dinner out in favor of SeamlessWeb and a movie.
Where Do You Use SW? I use it from home, or when really hungry, I have food delivered to the bar I frequent.
Favorite Kind of Food: I couldn’t pick a favorite, but top four are French, Chinese, Japanese, and seafood.
Least Favorite Kind of Food: Mongolian. Let’s just say that the one time I tried it, I realized that some things were never meant to be eaten.
Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? They remember you. I used to order from a sushi place all the time and one time they thought they put me on hold and began yelling, announcing to the staff that “salmon maki boy” was ordering again.
Favorite Place(s) to Order From on SW? Lenny’s (they have the best sandwich in NY, the Jimmy T), Shun Lee (amazing Peking Duck and great dim sum).
Closest Previous Brush with Internet Fame? I once received an unsolicited email from a Nigerian prince asking me to help him retrieve his fortune. Long story short, I did help him and he was so grateful, he gave me 25% of it! I never knew so many money-making opportunities lay in my spam filter. (Ed: SeamlessWeb does not endorse giving money to Nigerian princes.)
Favorite Celebrity Chef? I don’t have any favorites, as most are overrated. I prefer to think of myself as my favorite celebrity chef, sans the celebrity part.
Favorite Cartoon Growing Up? Robotech. My oldest brother had all of the episodes on tape and we would watch them all the time.
In the Past Year, What’s the Latest You’ve Stayed Up and Why? I’ve pulled several all-nighters recently, mostly because of a good book and there have been some nights that I begged the sun for a few more moments of moonlight.
Plans for Tonight? Gearing up for a hockey tournament I am playing in this weekend by going out to dinner and then having a few drinks with friends (not to mention taking bets on how many teeth I will lose in the tournament).
