SeamlessWebber of the Week: Grant

Every Thursday, a different SeamlessWeb customer tells us all about how he or she uses the site. If you pay close attention here you just might learn something. This week we have Grant Ginder, whose first novel, This is How it Starts, was just published by Simon & Schuster. In addition to being a published author, Grant is a SeamlessWeb addict.

SeamlessWebber of the Week - Grant Ginder

Name: Grant Ginder

Age: 26

Occupation: Author of the novel This is How it Starts/Center for American Progress Speechwriter

How and When Did You Discover SeamlessWeb? I had dabbled with it while I was living in DC, but I really started considering it a religion when I moved to New York last July.

Where Do You Use SW? The more appropriate question here is where don’t I use SW.

Favorite Kind of Food: I suppose I should list some kind of fancy, exotic cuisine here, but if I’m going to be truthful I’ve got to say chocolate milkshakes and mozzarella sticks.

Least Favorite Kind of Food: Brussel sprouts…sorry, mom.

Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? Feeling like the person on the other end of the line is breaking up with me when s/he can’t give me a reservation.

Favorite Place(s) to Order From on SW? Ritz Diner, Moonstruck Diner (I’m a big diner fan and they both have solid mozzarella sticks and milkshakes, not to mention great burgers), Taksim (go with the hummus, falafel, and chicken shish kebab entree), anywhere that delivers past 10 PM.

Closest Previous Brush with Internet Fame? An interview I did with New York magazine’s Daily Intel for the release of This is How it Starts. Though, in that case, I’m pretty sure I just came across as 1) being obsessed with my roommate; and 2) having an unhealthy relationship with Ambien.

Favorite Celebrity Chef? Tom Colicchio. He’s got some of the best restaurants in the city, and he employs my roommate (maybe I really am obsessed with her).

Favorite Cartoon Growing Up? Thundercats. Hands down.

What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? The ability to turn my fingers into mozzarella sticks which regenerate themselves. (Ed: This immediately made me think of Salad Fingers.)

In the Past Year, What’s the Latest You’ve Stayed Up and Why? 6, maybe 7 AM? I’m guessing there was something awesome being pitched on the Home Shopping Network. (Ed: Maybe one of these great items?)

Plans for Tonight? Ordering from SW and watching reruns of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
