SeamlessWebber of the Week: Alyson

Every Thursday, a different SeamlessWeb customer tells us all about how he or she orders from the site. If you pay close attention here you just might learn something. This week we’re doing something a little different and letting you inside the SeamlessWeb offices to get you acquainted with one of our own.

SeamlessWebber of the Week - Alyson

Name: Alyson (Ed: Yes, it IS the same Alyson from previous Today’s Order features.)

Age: 28

Occupation: Graphic Designer at SeamlessWeb (Ed: If you like our emails, now you know who makes them pretty!)

How and When Did You Discover SeamlessWeb? Someone at my last job (circa 2007) introduced me and it was love at first sight. We’ve had quite an amazing relationship…so amazing in fact, that I left that job to come work here instead!

Where Do You Use SW? At work (what’s better than ordering Seamless at Seamless, right?), at home (I have the smallest kitchen imaginable, so cooking is completely our of the question), anywhere else with an address and a hungry belly, namely mine.

Favorite Kind of Food: A tie between Mexican and pizza. And Tasti D-Lite.

Least Favorite Kind of Food: Seafood (barf)

Favorite Place(s) to Order From on SW? Moonstruck Diner (I have an obsession with grilled cheese sandwiches), Blockheads Burritos (I heart their guacamole), Amber (their lunch specials are awesome), Guy & Gallard (my salad place of choice).

Least Favorite Thing About Calling Restaurants? I hate talking on the phone, so everything.

Closest Previous Brush with Internet Fame? Last winter, we sent out a rainy day email that featured my amazing skills as an illustrator. It was such a big hit that it was featured on Jossip. Best. Day. Ever.

Favorite Celebrity Chef? I don’t have one (apparently I’m not hip enough to know of any), but I do want to marry whoever invented Tasti D-Lite. And whoever first thought of frying ice cream. That person is my hero. (Ed: Colicchio was the safe choice. He is ALWAYS the safe choice here.)

Favorite Cartoon Growing Up? Jem. She was truly outrageous.

What Superpower Do You Wish You Had? I wish I could read minds. Or perhaps eat without gaining weight. Think of all the SeamlessWeb food you could order!

In the Past Year, What’s the Latest You’ve Stayed Up and Why? Whatever time the birds start chirping…do they do that in New York? Luckily, Pizza 33 stays open late.

Plans for Tonight? Can you say Harry Potter?
