Today’s Order: Daniel’s Bagels

The Order:

Why is this day different from all other days? Sorry, it’s not because it’s Passover, it’s actually because we ordered breakfast today instead of lunch! Lunch is the main workday meal, but on the other hand, a lot of people claim that, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” It was in this spirit that AnnMarie and I found Daniel’s Bagels and decided to place our order. Since eggs are an important part of a healthy and filling breakfast, AnnMarie went for the Two Eggs on a Bagel breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel and American cheese. I went traditional New York with a Nova Bagel.

Daniel's Bagels - Nova Bagel

The Meal:

The food arrived super fast and well-packaged with plenty of napkins and no utensils, as we had requested. I got my nova and cream cheese on a plain bagel and it was excellent. There was a really nice portion of nova and not too much cream cheese, which is a common mistake that a lot of bagel places make. In addition, the bagel itself was soft, but not mushy, and it was a nice size.

AnnMarie’s everything bagel was a little saltier than she was expecting and her eggs weren’t quite scrambled enough. The cheese did its job and the sandwich was filling and tasty, but the search for the perfect breakfast sandwich continues.

On the whole, Daniel’s Bagels offers very good bagels at reasonable prices and with solid portion sizes. Definitely recommended for breakfast and maybe a light lunch.

FYI – We’re located near Bryant Park in case you want to try Daniel’s Bagels for yourself or give us recommendations for future orders!
