The Order:
With Rich (consummate food critic that he is) away today, it was time for me (AnnMarie) to bust loose and go crazy. As they say, when the cat is away, the mouse will play. And based off this order from Smorgas Chef, it is quite clear that I have a sweet tooth. So, when it was up to me and me alone, the choice was easy! Time to order Tasti D-Lite! And with Creme Brulee as the flavor of the day, it was a match made in heaven.
The Meal:
Thanks to the help of some fabulous co-workers, we ordered not one, not two, but THREE different ice creams as we tried to eat our way through the pain of loneliness without Rich. In addition, the mystery of how ice cream might work as a delivery food was finally solved. Turns out that it still tastes great and they’ve figured out a way to not let it turn into an accidental milkshake. We also loved that we could “sprinkle to taste” with that side portion. Tasti did the trick for all of us and by the time we got to the bottom of our cups, we forgot that Rich was even gone.
