Season of Seamless: Holiday Spirit in the Office!
Can you believe we’re already at the halfway point of the Season of Seamless?! We can’t either, and on this 10th day of Seamless fun, we’re sharing some of our favorite submissions from a corporate holiday spirit contest we held last week! We challenged our corporate friends to display their holiday spirit in the best way they could — whether through cheery songs, hilarious pictures, rhyming poetry, or glittery decorations. In addition to glory and fame, these offices won delicious Seamless treats of cupcakes, cookies, and delicious snacks! It was a truly spirited contest, and we got some pretty wild entries. In Chicago, Colleen wrote her own poem about her office’s holiday cheer. Here’s an excerpt from the piece:
Twas the hour before lunch time, when our stomachs were rumbling
Many employees were stirring, our concentration crumbling.
The orders were placed through Seamless with care,
In hopes that our meals soon would be there.Co-workers were nestled all snug in their chairs,
With visions of Portillo’s arriving soon downstairs.
And boss man in his necktie, and I in heels,
Had just settled our brains for tasty delivered meals.When across the office, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the desk to see what was the matter.
Away from my work, I put my hunger aside,
In hopes that starvation made no one die.The holiday decorations recently hung by the new-hire
Made the HR department cheer like they were part of a choir.
When, what to my wondering eyes, looked like carefully placed glitz,
But turned out to be reindeer made completely from Post-it’s.
